MOON
Long-term group project
Role: Concept, Interior Design Studies
Subject: Industrial Design
Supervision: Prof. Holger Jahn
Duration: 1 year
Year: 2015 – 2016
The technology of driverless driving will become safe, cheap and broadly available within the next years. In an ecologically as well as economically point of view, ridesharing is a verry attractive way to provide a highly efficient service. However, common usage instead of private ownership places new demands on the design of the vehicle. The project MOON aims to find an answer to the question: what does a sustainable and driverless mobility service look like?
DESIGN
The shape of the vehicle meets all the aerodynamic requirements for low air resistance and deliberately sets itself apart from the existing vehicle trends of our day. The arrangement of seats facing each other facilitates an open culture of social interaction. A detailed project documentation is provided through the links below.
